Our client is a rapidly growing business looking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper who can also assist with some Office Management and HR support.

About the Role

Role Objective

You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of bookkeeping duties including but not limited to management accounts, VAT, AR, AP and bank reconciliations. We are a growing company and require an applicant who can demonstrate the desire to be progressive and develop this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase invoice processing ensuring correct coding of invoices
• Supplier payment postings
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Customer receipt postings
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT Reconciliation & Returns
• Monthly Journals
• Prepayments & Accruals
• Management Accounts
• Year End Procedures
• Office Management for Consumables
• General HR administration including Payroll

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Ideally AAT qualified or studying but QBE definitely considered
• Minimum 3 years bookkeeping/accounts experience
• Good knowledge of VAT
• Fully competent in using IT & Cloud based accounting packages - xero preferred
• Intermediate Excel user
• Strong double entry bookkeeping skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Analytical with strong attention to detail
• Able to work on own initiative and make intelligent, reasoned decisions under pressure
• A self-starter, able to prioritise with a flexible approach in order to support the business at busy times and ensure all critical dates are met.
